Inspired by retro skiwear, The Summit Sweater is a relaxed, oversized sweater designed for maximum comfort. The half-zip makes this sweater breastfeeding friendly and more comfortable for getting over your head. Its unisex design means matching sweaters for the whole family.
The Summit Sweater is worked from the top down, beginning with the ribbed folded collar. The back is worked with short-row shaping for the shoulders. Intarsia colourwork is used until the bottom of the armholes, then stitches are picked up along the shoulder for the front panels and joined to the collar. Short row shaping is used to shape the neckline, and intarsia is worked on the front until the bottom of the armholes. The body and sleeves are worked in the round, finishing with a 1x1 ribbing and a tubular bind-off. A zipper facing is worked from the collar down (tutorials provided).
The Summit Sweater is designed with approx. 13-26 cm / 5-10” of positive ease, creating an oversized fit. If you are in between sizes or you prefer a more/less oversized fit, you can calculate your preferred amount of ease and choose a size accordingly. I recommend measuring a garment that fits you to the desired amount of ease, and choosing a
similar size.
