This simple combination of stocking and garter stitch gives us a clever looking (but really easy) self-stripe pattern down the body, and depending on your yarn colour and button choices it will be suitable for a baby girl or boy. Like all minimal knits | DESIGNED baby clothes, its seamless, made top down with integrated neck and button bands, and when the knitting is finished all we have to do is weave in the ends and sew on the buttons.  

Even though it might include a technique you haven't used before, the pattern contains simple, straightforward instructions and notes on where to look for more information.

Size: 0-3 months (3-6 months, 6-12 months, 12-18 months, 18-24 months)

3.5mm and 4mm needles

4mm DPNs or circular needles

5 buttons

6 stitch markers
